5 best moments from Outlander Season 7, Episode 7
William jumping into the graves to dig
William shone throughout Outlander Season 7, Episode 7. He made it clear that he was going to be there for this battle, and we got to see so many layers to him. I still get chills as he watches Sandy fall and tries to get him up, despite knowing the man was shot in the head.
However, it’s the aftermath of the battle that I adore for William as a character. He makes it clear that the graves are deep enough. Part of this is because of his own personal loss, but it’s also a reaction to war. He doesn’t want the dead dishonored.
Instead of just barking orders, though, he jumped into the graves and started digging. We see that he is a man of honor and duty in this moment. He will lead by example, which is certainly something from Lord John Grey. It’s also a very Jamie thing to do.
Roger and Buck heading out to save Jemmy
Finally, it’s all about the last scene. Buck joins Roger on the drive to the stones to get to Jemmy. Roger just has to hope that Rob hasn’t gone through the stones yet.
I love how Buck is just there as support. We see this very different man to the one we came to know at the Battle of Alamance. It’s easy to forget that he is an educated man. He was a lawyer. At least, that’s what he says.
Now he wants to learn more about other time travelers. That brings up Geillis Duncan and the idea of a blood sacrifice. Roger drives faster and Buck doesn’t say a thing. He’s just there to give Roger the ability to let it all out but also to keep him grounded.
