15. Claire’s request for the stool sample

After recovering from her illness, Claire realizes that she and Tom likely had the same thing. Their illness wasn’t the same as what went around the Ridge. She’s a doctor, and that means she wants to know what the illness was.

So, she heads on a walk to Tom Christie’s and asks him for a stool sample. Tom’s reaction was priceless.

He was understandably shocked and embarrassed. This was not a common request back them. Of course he wasn’t going to give her it, but he did make sure she got back home.

14. Lizzie figures out how to keep both twins in her life

When the truth about Lizzie and the twins comes out, Jamie deals with it the best way he can. He makes Lizzie marry one twin and forces the other twin away until the birth of the baby. With everything going on, he can’t deal with the extra scandal.

Well, Lizzie and the twins aren’t happy about that. I think it’s clear that Lizzie is the one who works out a way to keep both twins in her life. She turns to Bree and Roger.

After Jamie handfasts Lizzie and Kezzie, she gets Roger to marry her and Josiah. It’s perfect.

13. Tom Christie knows Claire isn’t a witch

After Tom’s surgery on his hand, he apologizes to Claire. He’s not apologizing for not using the ether, but he is apologizing for how he reacted while his hand was being cut open. To be honest, I don’t think there was anything to apologize for, but it starts an important bonding process between the two.

Tom had heard Claire speaking to someone, and he wants to know who. When Claire mentions it’s Adso the cat, she points out that he is just a cat and not a familiar. Claire isn’t a witch.

Tom doesn’t believe that. He’s smart enough to know that Claire is a gifted healer. That doesn’t mean he wants his daughter learning things, but he trusts Claire when it comes to medicine.
