Outlander Book 9 is going to be here in less than a month. Not sure what to expect? Here’s a look at what Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone is about.

We’ll have the next stage of the story before we know it. Outlander Book 9 is coming n Tuesday, Nov. 23.

There’s a good chance you’ve pre-ordered it already. If you haven’t, there’s still plenty of time to do so. Pre-ordering is a great way to put it out of your mind but know the book is coming very soon.

For those who are on the newer side of the fandom, you’ll want to know what to expect in the next part of the story. Even if you’ve been part of the fandom from the beginning, you’ll want to get an idea of what’s to come.

You may have read some of the Daily Lines to get some sort of idea. Or maybe you’ve kept an eye on teases that have been released. Now we have the publisher’s description of the novel.

Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone description

The novel is set in 1779. It picks up off the back of Written in My Own Heart’s Blood, which saw Brianna and Roger return to the 18th century. At least, that’s what we’re led to believe.

It looks like that’s the case. The description of the novel tells us that Brianna and Roger have made it back to Fraser’s Ridge with their children. They’re there just in time for the American Revolutionary War, and it’s time to protect on the side they’ve all chosen.

For Bree and Roger, though, there’s also the situation they escaped from in the 20th century. There’s a chance the dangers that provoked their escape will catch up to them.

Jamie and Claire will need to deal with the situation of the American Revolution. We don’t know of anything else that can happen with any of the tenants around the Ridge. There’s always someone who likes to cause problems, right?

We will get to see some of their lives growing. We’ll get more of Young Ian and Jenny, we’ll get to know Fanny more, and there will also be a chance to see life in general for everyone now that the MacKenzies are back.

We’ll also get more time with Lord John Grey and William Ransom. There have been some shifts in their relationship since William learned the truth about Jamie being his father. Can William shift from his (understandable) anger to acceptance? What will John do to help his stepson deal with all the emotions?

Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone is coming to shelves on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
