Look out for the Clanlands book in November 2020
Clanlands has come a long way from what it initially started out to be. It was supposed to be a podcast with Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish talking about everything they learned while exploring Scotland. That turned from a podcast to the docuseries Men in Kilts.
And that’s not all! Clanlands will come in book form. It’s set to be released on Nov. 5, 2020, which seems quite a fitting date for something involving any type of British history. Nov. 5 is a date Britain celebrates the capture of a man who tried to kill the first king of both England and Scotland combined.
You can already pre-order the Kindle version of Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other Kind through Amazon. The physical copy isn’t yet available to pre-order through the site, but is reportedly available to pre-order via Waterstones in the U.S. You can also register your interest at the official Clanlands website.

What is the new Clanlands book about?
The book will see Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish share a little more about everything they’ve witnessed while in Scotland. We’ll get a learn about the journey the two Outlander stars too, including why they even decided to do this in the first place!
We’ll start at Glencoe, considered the heart of Scotland. From there, we’ll experience Inverness and Culloden, two important locations in the Outlander books. However, there are things that couldn’t be explored in the fictional book series for whatever reason. Sam and Graham take us on that journey as they learn more about the complex history and beautiful culture of their native country. And we can’t forget about the whisky!
The November release date could tell us something about the docuseries Men in Kilts. Is it possible that both are set to release at the same time?
