2. Being handfast in front of the fire

When the two reunited, Brianna admitted that she was happy now to marry. Everything that she’d been through made her realize that she did love Roger and she did want to be with him. While the two couldn’t get married, they did get the chance to handfast. It would be as good as being married.

And there was this beautiful moment in front of the fire. There were elements that were reminiscent of Jamie and Claire’s wedding, but this was also a handfast in its own right. It was a gorgeous moment for the younger couple, showing the love and romance that is to come later in the series.

1. Brianna and Roger reuniting at the end of the season

Finally, we jump all the way to the end of Outlander Season 4. After being taken away by the Mohawks, Jamie and Claire had to go back for Roger. Brianna remained at River Run, trying to hold onto the hope that her parents would get her love back. That hope wavered at times, but Lord John Grey helped her hold on.

There was a moment she thought Roger was returning to his own time without her. However, Roger chose to come back, and Brianna watched him ride up the path. She immediately ran out of the house to him, delivering a hugely romantic moment for the series. It was a perfect way to end the season for the two of them, and now I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them together in Season 5.
