Outlander Season 3 will be available on Netflix Canada in two days. Here are four episodes to rewatch before you catch the full season.

Outlander Season 3 is finally coming to Netflix Canada. It drops on August 10, giving you plenty of time to catch the whole of the season before the fourth airs on Starz. While the Bell Media/Starz partnership won’t be done by the time the series starts, it will hopefully be in place during the middle of the season to start watching it live.

Until then, we need Netflix Canada. Need to get a reminder of the things that have happened but don’t have time to rewatch all the first two seasons? No worries. There are four episodes you’ll need to get you ready for the third season.

There are two episodes from Outlander Season 1 and two episodes from Outlander Season 2. They may seem a little odd at first, until you realize how they’ll link to the third season. All have important plot points and storylines for continuing the story.

You’ve got tonight and tomorrow night to get these two episodes. That’s two episodes a night, which is more than doable, right? Knowing many of you, you’ll watch all four episodes on the first night and then find four more to watch before Outlander Season 3 is on Netflix Canada. But let’s jump in.

Outlander Season 1, Episode 7: The Wedding

Some of my all-time favorite Outlander episodes are from the first season. It isn’t surprising that “The Wedding” is my favorite. I don’t know if my reasons are for the same reasons as others, as I hate the fact that Claire got drunk the night before and was still drunk at the time of her wedding. Don’t get me wrong, I could understand why, but I disliked it for Jamie’s sake, especially after everything he did to make it the perfect wedding for her.

My favorite part was certainly the way they got to know each other on their wedding night. Claire would keep stalling Jamie, getting to know him more. But they needed that marriage to be consummated.

And it’s this moment that you want to watch the episode for. “A. Malcolm” mirrors a lot of these moments in “The Wedding.”

Outlander Season 1, Episode 13: The Watch

More from Opinion

This will seem like the oddest of episodes to watch when it comes to preparing for the third season but bear with me. Outlander Season 1, Episode 13 has the important development of Jenny and Claire’s bond. It also shows you how hot-headed, stubborn, and opinionated Jenny Fraser Murray is.

In Outlander Season 3, Claire and Jenny have another run in with each other. There were a lot of people upset with Jenny, but I could understand her emotions and where her head was at. Maybe it had been because I’d only recently rewatched “The Watch” before going into the third season, so the way their relationship grew was still fresh on my mind.

Whatever the reason for it, “The Watch” will show you how quickly their bond as sisters-in-law becomes and give some sort of understanding for Jenny’s emotions in the third season.

Outlander Season 2, Episode 1: Through a Glass, Darkly

It definitely shouldn’t be surprising that the premiere of Outlander Season 2 is on this list. You’ll also not be surprised by the last episode. The first episode of the season sets up everything that is about to happen. We quickly learn that the Battle of Culloden is still the failure that it was the first time but that Claire somehow goes back to her own time.

This sets up everything that is about to happen in the third season. It becomes the start of Outlander Season 3, with Claire and Frank heading to America to start a new life together, while Claire is pregnant with her and Jamie’s child.

We also get to see Reverend Wakefield and Mrs. Graham a final time, who are important in the story.

Outlander Season 2, Episode 13: Dragonfly in Amber

Finally, you’ll want to rewatch the Outlander Season 2 finale. As the Battle of Culloden gets ever closer, Jamie decides to send his wife back through the stones to safety. While all that happens in the past, we get a glimpse of the things to come in 1968.

This is the episode we get to meet Brianna Randall and Roger Wakefield. We see the two gain an instant bond, as Claire finally gets the courage and chance to say what she thinks is goodbye to the man she has hated and loved for the last 20 years.

On top of that, we finally get to see Geillis Duncan and how she ends up through the stones. Brianna learns the truth about her parentage and we learn that Roger is actually a descendent of Geillis. Everything starts to fall into place, getting us ready for the third season.
